All astrological systems can be divided into the Western and the Vedic branches. In the Moonly app we use the Vedic astrology Jyotish. It reflects the exact position of the planets and constellations in the firmament because it takes into account the annual shift of the Earth's axis, unlike Western astrology. Also, Jyotish does not take into account the position of Neptune, Uranus and Pluto.

Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, which is associated with the seasons and does not take into account Earth's displacement. This system considers the vernal equinox to be the starting point for the signs of the zodiac.

Therefore the calculations of Vedic astrology may differ from the calculations of Western astrology that we are accustomed to.

Both astrological systems have a right to exist and deserve respect. They provide unique knowledge and can't be compared 🙏✨
