How to check or change my timezone?
We use your current timezone to show you all the information in the app. To check or change your timezone, please do the following steps in your device settings (not in app settings):
iOS
1. Open your iPhone settings → General
2. Tap Time and date → Timezone.
Android
Open your phone's Clock app
Tap More → Settings:
- to pick your home timezone: tap Home timezone
- to automatically update your timezone: tap Change date & time → Set timezone automatically.
My timezone is correct. However, the position of the Moon according to other sources differs from Moonly's.

All astrological systems can be divided into the Western and the Vedic branches. We kindly inform you that we use the Vedic astrology Jyotish and Sidereal zodiac for our calculations.
Vedic astrology takes into account the precession of the Earth's axis. Western astrology does not take into account that shift and considers the vernal equinox to be the starting point for the signs of the zodiac, so the calculations have a margin of error.
Therefore, the Vedic Sidereal zodiac shows the current position of the planets of the solar system and allows you to make more accurate calculations.
